    This thing is good for powering just about anything you could want as long as you don't mind spinning the dial many times to get where you want, and you don't need it to be consistent every time it is turned on.In my opinion, it is best used by turning it on, setting it, connecting it, doing your thing, and then disconnecting it. The next time you turn it on, even if you haven't moved the dial, the voltage can be significantly offโ€”at least mine is. For a test bench, though, having a power supply that's easy to connect and can supply a wide range of voltages is great.I would appreciate it if the power plug was on the opposite side from the controls and outputs, but then again I have never seen a particularly neat and organized test bench setup and one more misplaced cable is not the end of the world.

    This is a good deal for a AC to DC converter with adjustable output. I connected it to a few devices and measured voltage and amperage with my clamp meter and the display is accurate.Minus one star just because the dial adjustment of the voltage is tricky. It takes some fidgeting to get it to a specific voltage within 1/10th of a volt. It is all analog controls so compared to a digital power supply that gives precise control this is just a little more work. But definitely not a reason to avoid it. It is a decent workbench power supply and a great value.

    This small but very powerful power supply works perfectly.I tested it a bit in different modes and don't have any complains on its functionality.The voltage indicator has really small offset in the whole range of output voltages not exceeding 0.2V (the measured value was about 0.17V).In idle mode the ripples of the output voltage are under 10 mV P2P, under the 5A current load it was under 20 mV P2P (tested with oscilloscope).The voltage and current limiting regulators work nice and smooth.For example, I set the voltage at 2.5V and shorted the output with about 3 feet of approximately 22 AWG wire with current limit set at 20 A. The voltage dropped to about 1.6 V, but the current was exactly 20 A (it took not long to heat the wire to the level when I couldn't keep it by hand).One important feature of this power supply is that both output connectors are insolated from the device case and ground pin of the mains. So, you can use a couple of these devices to have bipolar power supply with grounder central point. This is a very useful and important feature of this device.At the same time I'd like to mention a couple of things which I'd prefer to have different from existing design.1. It would be more convenient if the AC connector was on the back side of the module instead of the front one.2. It would be great if it was possible to adjust current limiting value without connecting load to the power supply.As of now, the only way to do it is prior to connecting a load is to short the output of the device, then adjust the current limit, remove the shunt and only then connect your load.But in general I'm very satisfied with this power supply and highly recommend it for everybody interested.
