The 48V battery charger can be used as a fixed charger for 48V Club Car golf carts with appropriate modifications or without the onboard computer. *Club Cars between 1995-2015 require the installation of an OBC bypass kit unless your OBC is already bypassed. *2016 and newer Club Cars are not equipped with OBC, so this charger can be used without modification.

Product Introduction

1.Efficient Charging
Adopting advanced switching power supply technology, the charging efficiency is as high as 85% or more, shortening the charging time and reducing energy consumption.
2.Constant voltage and constant current charging mode
The charger works in constant current (CC) mode until the battery voltage approaches the set value (58.8V), and then switches to constant voltage (CV) mode to ensure the safety of the charging process and avoid overcharging.
3.Intelligent temperature control 
The built-in temperature sensor can monitor the charger temperature in real time. When the temperature exceeds the safe range, it automatically reduces the charging current or suspends charging to prevent overheating.
4.Multiple protection functions
· Overvoltage protection: When the voltage exceeds the safe range, the charger automatically cuts off the power to prevent battery damage.
· Overcurrent protection: When the current exceeds the rated value, the output current is automatically limited to protect the battery and charger.
· Short circuit protection: The charger has a short circuit protection function to avoid dangers caused by short circuits.
· Reverse connection protection: When the positive and negative poles of the battery are reversed, the charger automatically stops working to avoid damage to the battery and charger.
5 LED indicator lights
The charger is equipped with LED indicator lights to display the current charging status:
· Red light: Charging.
· Green light: Charging completed or standby.
6 Voltage and current can be calibrated
· The adjustable resistor VR2 can calibrate the current between 4 and 5 amps
· The charger needs a battery voltage of at least 30V to work
· The charger can directly output voltage and current for use as an adapter

Charging time

· The 48V 5A lead-acid battery charger is designed for fast charging of 48V lead-acid batteries and can charge 48V lead-acid batteries at a rate of 5 amps.
· The maximum voltage is 55.2V when no battery is connected, and the maximum voltage is 58.8V when charging. The rated current is 5Amp, which can fully charge a 30Ah lead-acid battery in about 6 hours and a 50Ah battery in about 10 hours. A 80Ah battery can be fully charged in 16 hours. For smaller batteries (<10Ah), we recommend using a 5A charger. All lead-acid batteries should be charged with a charger compatible with lead-acid batteries, such as this charger. Charging the battery with other types of chargers will reduce the performance and life of the battery.
